Pricing philosophy

How we think about money, trust, and what fair actually means.

Transparent pricing is not a feature we offer. It is the only way we know how to operate. When you see a number on this page, that is the number.

We have all been on the wrong side of a proposal.

You ask what something costs. You get a discovery call. Then a scoping call. Then a deck. Then a number that bears no relationship to the work - padded for negotiation, wrapped in ambiguity, and buried in a contract that protects the agency, not you.

We decided early on that Kuvaka would never work that way. When you see a number on this page, that is the number. No room for manoeuvre, no opening bid, no hidden line items that appear after you have already committed. What you see is what you pay.

Three things. Priced clearly.

Sprint pricing - customisation and delivery

A fixed price per 7-day sprint, stackable at the same rate. The price does not change between sprint one and sprint twenty. You decide whether to continue after each one.

All prices are fixed. Infrastructure costs - cloud hosting, domain registrations, third-party APIs - are billed at cost with full receipts. We do not mark them up. Applicable taxes are additional and depend on your jurisdiction.

Open source first

We put the work out before we ask for anything.

The most common question we get is: why would you build something and give it away for free? The answer is simple. We believe useful software should not sit behind a paywall. The organisations that need the most help - a hospital department running outdated processes, a mid-sized manufacturer whose competitors have already automated - are rarely the ones with the largest budgets.

If the only way to access what we build is to pay us first, we are not solving the problem. We are just adding ourselves to it. So we open-source everything we build and make the code public on GitHub. You can deploy it today. You can fork it. You can build on it. No licence. No trial period. No credit card.

We do incur real costs to keep these products running. Up to a point, we absorb those costs as a deliberate choice - the trust it builds and the feedback it generates are worth more to us than the hosting bill. Beyond that threshold, a transparent hosting fee applies, and we will tell you exactly when and why.

The guarantee

We commit. And if we miss, we own it.

Before any sprint begins, we agree on a written scope. That document is a commitment we take seriously. If we do not deliver what is in that scope document, on time, for your first engagement - you get a full refund. No process. No negotiation. No conditions.

Scope must be agreed and signed before work starts.

After the first sprint, you can judge for yourself whether to continue.

You always own the code. After any sprint. Permanently.

What transparent pricing rules out

What we will never do.

Give you a bespoke quote designed to open a negotiation.

Charge differently for the same work depending on the size of your company.

Add line items after a project has started.

Mark up third-party infrastructure costs.

Lock you into a retainer before you know whether you want to continue.

Withhold your code to keep you on contract.

Pretend a delay is acceptable when it is not.

A note on trust

Pricing is a form of respect.

We are building a company that we want to last. Not a company that extracts maximum revenue from each engagement and hopes clients do not notice. The organisations we want to work with - European enterprises, healthcare institutions, manufacturers with decades of operating history - have seen enough of the other kind.

Trust in this industry is earned slowly and lost quickly. The fastest way we know to earn it is to be the company that says exactly what things cost, delivers exactly what it promises, and owns it completely when something goes wrong.

That is what this page is. Not a pricing strategy. A statement of how we work.

See the numbers, then let's talk.

Our full sprint costs, maintenance fees, and everything else are published above. If you want to understand what a project would look like before committing to a call, start there.

All prices shown exclude applicable taxes and third-party infrastructure costs, which are billed at cost with full transparency.
